Organic acids are biochemical intermediates (byproducts) that should break down to carbon dioxide and water. When they don't, and accumulate; they indicate metabolic blockades due to nutrient deficiencies, inherited enzyme defects, toxic buildups, or drug effects. If there are high results, they can help to pinpoint nutritional supplementation regimens beneficial in achieving optimal wellness.
Organic acids tell us what is going on inside the cells of your patient's body as well as revealing unwanted bacteria or parasites living within us.
