The LEAP Program is a highly effective Disease Management Program that combines patented blood testing technology with customized software, experience & know-how, to provide patients and physicians a complete method of managing Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Migraine.

The patented Mediator Release Test® (MRT®) is an accurate "End-Point" blood test which indirectly measures mediator release through precise measurement of changes to the liquid/solids ratio of a blood sample after whole blood has been incubated with an individual food, additive, or chemical. Mediators released from immune cells include: histamine, prostaglandins, cytokines, leukotrienes, platelet aggregating factor, eosinophil chemotactic factor, myeloperoxidase, eosinophil cationic protein, serotonin, and dopamine.

This test looks at non-IgE mediated food hypersensitivity and can follow both Type 3 and Type 4 pathways as opposed to IgG testing which is limited to Type 3 reactions.

One hundred fifty foods and food additives are tested in the full LEAP test.

Primary Conditions for Utilizing this Test: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (w/diarrhea), Migraine, and Fibromyalgia.

Secondary Conditions for Utilizing this Test: Functional diarrhea, dyspepsia, recurrent secondary headaches, autism, epilepsy, arthritis, chronic sinusitis, inflammatory bowel disease, non-seasonal rhinitis, chronic sinus headaches, ADHD, chronic fatigue syndrome and hyperactivity.
